Visitor Guidelines
Our Hospital is dedicated to maintaining a secure, safe, and private environment for our patients, their families, and our staff. Ensuring the hospital remains a safe place for all is our top priority.
Access Control:
Entry to inpatient wards is regulated by security access passes. Only individuals with prior approval or authorization, such as patients' family members or carers, are permitted to enter patient rooms.
Mask Policy:
All visitors must wear a surgical mask at all times while in a ward or clinical area, such as specialist clinics. The mask should be worn correctly, covering the nose and fitting snugly under the chin. Please refrain from visiting if you are feeling unwell.
Information for Families and Carers
We respect your right to decide who visits you and when. During your stay, please help us maintain a safe environment by adhering to the following guidelines:
- Visitor Communication: If you expect visitors, inform them of your ward and room number before they arrive.
- Minimize Disruptions: Keep the number of visitors to a minimum to avoid disruption. There may be times when visitors are asked to leave the room during consultations or when care is being provided. Please comply with any directions from hospital staff.
- Access Passes: Families and carers will receive access passes on clearly marked lanyards for the duration of the inpatient stay. Wear your lanyard and access pass at all times to ensure 24/7 access to the ward and after-hours access to the elevators. Each family can receive up to two passes.
- Meeting Visitors: Arrange for your visitors to contact you before their arrival and plan to meet them at the ward entrance. Use your access pass to let them in.
Information for Visitors
To protect patient confidentiality, we cannot disclose any information about patients to anyone other than their authorized family members or legal guardians. This means we cannot confirm:
- Whether a patient is receiving care at the hospital
- The ward or room number of a patient
- The patient's recovery status
- If the patient has been discharged
If you wish to visit a patient, please contact their family or guardian to obtain permission and coordinate your visit. They can provide you with the appropriate visiting times, ward, and room number.
- Meeting Arrangements: Arrange to meet the patient's family outside the ward at a pre-agreed time. The family will facilitate your entry.
- Deliveries: If you are sending a delivery to a patient, coordinate with the family to ensure they can be present to receive it at the Main Reception. Couriers and delivery drivers should contact the family directly to arrange delivery.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a secure and healing environment for all our patients.
